
Buck House Designs is a small company offering a small number of hand crafted products. Each design is handcrafted in hardwood, and lovingly finished to enhance the natural beauty of the wood.
Our workshop is nestled in the Sierra Nevada Foothills, where we enjoy breathtaking views of California's central valley.
We first started making animal puzzles after trying some patterns offered in a magazine. This interest was further fuelled when we saw some great puzzles on sale at a gift shop in Oregon's Portland airport, and finally when we came across the great series of books by Judy and Dave Peterson. "Animal Puzzles for the Scroll Saw", and "Fantasy & Legend Scroll Saw Puzzles", from Fox Chapel Publishing, we were hooked.
After many years of continued trial and errors, innovation, and improvement, we have narrowed our focus to producing the items you see here.
For many years we have been selling these, or similar, items at the Foothill Farmers Market in Auburn, (www.foothillfarmersmarket.com), on a Saturday morning, or at one of the many Art & Craft Shows, Dog Shows or Holiday Gift Shows in Northern California. We have met many great people and learned an awful lot along the way. We hope you appreciate these products as much as we enjoy making them.
Every item in our store is handcrafted, in the USA, to the highest standards, using lumber from certified sustainable, managed forests.
A lot of our lumber is purchased locally at California Hardwood in Auburn, (www.californiahardwood.com).

We have a small inventory of ready made items, however most products are made to order. As such most orders will usually be fulfilled within 5 to 7 business days. This also includes personalized orders. If you leave contact information then we can inform you of any delays.
All orders can be shipped by the US Postal Service, using 2 day priority shipping, or alternatively you can select UPS Ground shipping for trackable shipments. If you require further options then please let us know when you place your order.
